Korean Air Lines Co., Ltd. (003490) began carrying emergency supplies to Nepal on Tuesday, Dailian reported. The cargo supports communities and facilities damaged by major flooding.
Flight KE695 left Incheon for Kathmandu with 1,000 boxes of bottled water and 1,000 blankets. The water shipment equals 12,000 bottles of 1.5 liters each. Korean Air and Hanjin scheduled shipments for Tuesday and September 12.
The airline moved booked freight to make space for government relief cargo. Hanjin Group said its airline and logistics businesses handled the transportation. The company's market capitalisation was ₩11.1 trillion at Tuesday's close.
