KEPCO Engineering Signs Fusion Cooperation Agreement With EnableFusion - Newsis

KEPCO Engineering & Construction (052690) signed a fusion-energy cooperation agreement with EnableFusion, Newsis reported Tuesday. The companies signed the memorandum in Daejeon on Monday.

They will exchange technical and business information for fusion power construction projects. The agreement also covers joint development of Korean and overseas fusion-energy projects. EnableFusion was founded in 2023 by former KSTAR and ITER project scientist Lee Kyung-su.

EnableFusion designs plasma vessels and high-temperature superconducting magnets for fusion systems. The report did not state a contract value or project schedule. The company's market capitalisation was ₩5.5 trillion at Tuesday's close.
