Daewoo Engineering & Construction (047040) disclosed a ₩222.88bn housing contract at the US military base in Pyeongtaek and removed its completion date, the company said in a DART filing on Wednesday.
The Defense Installations Agency awarded the work. Daewoo E&C will build four eight-story blocks containing 1,208 rooms inside the base.
The project began on November 7, 2022. Daewoo E&C said the original award was below the disclosure threshold and became reportable after a June 2026 amendment.
The contract equals 2.77% of the company's FY2025 revenue, using the financials on this site.
Daewoo E&C said it is negotiating a revised end date with the customer and will file again after the date is fixed. Payments are tied to construction progress.
