Hyundai Department Store Co., Ltd. (069960) group announced early supplier payments totaling ₩273.8 billion, Yonhap reported Sunday. The group will pay small and midsize suppliers before South Korea's Chuseok holiday instead of their regular payment dates.
The payments cover suppliers to group affiliates including Hyundai G.F. Holdings (005440) and Hyundai Green Food (453340). The group said the earlier transfers would help those suppliers manage their cash needs ahead of the holiday.
The group also made early supplier payments before the Lunar New Year holiday earlier this year. The company's market capitalisation was ₩2.1 trillion at Friday's close.
