Korea Electric Power Corporation Reports Unpaid Electricity Fund Levies - Yonhap

Korea Electric Power Corporation (015760) reported ₩5.29 billion in unpaid electricity industry fund levies, Yonhap reported Sunday. Data supplied to a lawmaker covered 148,692 people with unpaid levies assessed since 2020.

The company had not used tax-style compulsory collection procedures during the past five years, according to the records. Separate court applications for electricity bill payment orders declined from 402 in 2021 to 197 last year.

The fund levy, collected together with customers' electricity bills, has been 2.7% of electricity charges since July last year. The company's market capitalisation was ₩20.6 trillion at Friday's close.
