Korean Air Lines Co., Ltd. (003490) canceled Jakarta flights on September 5 and 6 following volcanic ash disruption. Newsis reported Sunday that Saturday's round trip was canceled after a delay of thirteen hours and twenty minutes.
The airline cited operating restrictions at Jakarta's airport following the eruption of Indonesia's Anak Krakatau volcano on Friday. Asiana Airlines (020560) also informed Jakarta passengers about suspended check-in procedures related to the airport closure.
The report said restrictions disrupted 209 domestic and international flights. The company's market capitalisation was ₩11.1 trillion at Friday's close.
