HYUNDAI MOTOR CO (005380) sold more gasoline than hybrid Avante and Sonata sedans in its cumulative domestic sales data. Yonhap reported Sunday that the company's Grandeur sedan recorded more hybrid sales than gasoline sales over the same period.
The report drew on the company's investor-relations data for domestic sales through July. Gasoline versions also led recent orders for the redesigned Avante, according to figures the company supplied to the news agency.
The Avante order snapshot came at the end of August after the company launched the replacement model. The company's market capitalisation was ₩78.5 trillion at Friday's close.
