Korean Regulator Strengthens Target Conversion Fund Fee Disclosures - Yonhap

Korea's financial regulator will strengthen fee disclosures for funds that switch assets after reaching preset returns. Yonhap reported Sunday that the regulator discussed the changes at its September 4 consumer risk meeting.

Investors choosing upfront fees accounted for 71.8% of public target conversion fund subscriptions from 2025 through June. The average time to reach return targets fell from 249 days in 2024 to 57 days in this year's first half.

The regulator will require detailed investment cautions in fund registration documents. Samsung Securities Co., Ltd. (016360): The company's market capitalisation was ₩7.8 trillion at Friday's close.
