Seven major Korean fashion businesses employed 8,831 people at the end of June, Yonhap reported Sunday. Their combined workforce rose 1.5% from 8,704 a year earlier, according to figures in their half-year reports.
The total excluding Musinsa fell 3.2% to 6,595 employees as the online retailer expanded its workforce. LF Corp. (093050) employed 927 people compared with 916 a year earlier, while its operating profit rose 19.0%.
LF Corp. reported first-half operating profit of ₩88.5 billion alongside revenue growth of 4.7%. The company's market capitalisation was ₩0.7 trillion at Friday's close.
