Korea Electric Power Corporation (015760) subsidiary Korea Southern Power completed major approvals for its Goyang Changneung power plant. Dailian reported Friday that the company completed the urban planning implementation approval notice for the project.
The 500 MW combined heat and power plant is scheduled to begin construction in January next year. It will supply electricity and district heating to about 38,000 households, with completion scheduled for December 2029.
The company purchased the gas turbine in January and secured the construction site in June. The company's market capitalisation was ₩20.6 trillion at Friday's close.
