South Korea recorded a $42.08 billion current account surplus in July, Dailian reported Friday, citing provisional central bank data. The surplus was the second largest recorded after June's $49.73 billion balance.
The goods account posted a $40.43 billion surplus as exports reached $100.45 billion and imports reached $60.02 billion. Services recorded a $1.97 billion deficit, including a $340 million travel deficit during the month.
The cumulative current account surplus reached $233.09 billion through July, compared with $59.82 billion a year earlier. SK hynix Inc. (000660): The company's market capitalisation was ₩1,203.1 trillion at Friday's close.
