SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION (028260) submitted the only bid for Seoul's Mokdong apartment reconstruction project, Newsis reported Monday. Project administrator Daishin Asset Trust closed the initial tender and declared it unsuccessful because no competing builder participated.
The project would replace the existing complex with new apartments in the city's Yangcheon district. The company has prepared an alternative design with an overseas architecture firm that worked on its previous reconstruction projects.
Daishin Asset Trust will notify the district office of the result before issuing another tender. The company's market capitalisation was ₩62.3 trillion at Monday's close.
