Korea's Financial Supervisory Service plans advance customer notices when banks suspend or change financial products, Yonhap reported Sunday. The regulator reviewed the issue during its September 4 consumer risk council meeting, according to the September 6 report.
The proposal responds to banks halting loans or reducing limits without sufficient notice during household lending cap management. The regulator will discuss the notice period, delivery method and required content with the banking industry before implementation.
