Korea Zinc Company, Ltd. Voting Injunction Requests Rejected - report

A Seoul court dismissed requests to restrict voting rights at Korea Zinc Company, Ltd. (010130), Dailian reported Monday. Youngpoong Corporation (000670) and an acquisition vehicle established by private equity firm MBK Partners had sought the injunctions.

The requests concerned shareholders aligned with the current management and the investment firm P23 Partners. The applicants alleged that disclosures about lenders and collateral arrangements contained false statements or omitted important information.

The court found insufficient grounds for the requested restrictions and ordered the applicants to pay litigation costs. The company's market capitalisation was ₩25.5 trillion at Monday's close.
