Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (005930) subsidiary Harman launched a Bluetooth speaker under its JBL audio brand, Dailian reported Monday. The Xtreme 5 speaker combines redesigned sound hardware with AI audio functions and lighting around its edges.
The speaker uses dual tweeters and a subwoofer, with an audio feature intended to reduce distortion at higher volumes. Its automatic sound settings adjust for different content, including music and spoken audio such as podcasts.
The product also includes rubber protection around its edges and a redesigned base for standing the speaker upright. The company's market capitalisation was ₩1,578.5 trillion at Monday's close.
