HYUNDAI MOTOR CO (005380) added new applications to its Pleos Connect vehicle infotainment platform, Dailian reported Monday. The additions include navigation and music services from Kakao Corp. (035720), with Kakao Navi and Melon joining the app market.
Drivers can download applications directly to their vehicle display without connecting a smartphone to the system. The update adds seven applications and brings the available selection to 18 across navigation and audio services.
Software subsidiary 42dot provides development tools and vehicle APIs for outside developers building applications for the platform. The company's market capitalisation was ₩80.5 trillion at Monday's close.
