DB Insurance Co., Ltd. (005830) promoted Kim Byung-eun to vice president and appointed him head of management planning, Chosun Biz reported Monday. Kim previously worked across personal and corporate sales as well as management functions at the insurer.
He is a nephew of group founder Kim Jun-ki and a cousin of honorary chairman Kim Nam-ho. His new responsibilities include securities issuance and internal governance rules alongside organizational management and IT operations.
The previous planning chief has been nominated to lead the group's life insurance business. The company's market capitalisation was ₩12.6 trillion at Monday's close.
