Seoul Guarantee Insurance Company Joins Landlord Default Information Sharing - Newsis

Seoul Guarantee Insurance Company (031210) will share landlord default information with two public housing guarantors, Newsis reported Monday. From October 1, landlords with unpaid guarantee debts at any participating institution will face restrictions across all three.

The other participants are Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation and Korea Housing Finance Corporation, the September 7 report said. The Korea Credit Information Services will combine information received from the guarantors and distribute it back to them.

The restrictions concern deposit-based housing leases known in Korea as jeonse. The company's market capitalisation was ₩3.1 trillion at Monday's close.
