Korean Service Industry Loans Rise ₩19.9 Trillion in Second Quarter - Yonhap

Korean service industry loans increased ₩19.9 trillion in the second quarter, Yonhap reported Monday using Bank of Korea data. Outstanding service industry loans reached ₩1,313.1 trillion at quarter-end, marking the largest quarterly increase since late 2022.

Real estate lending grew ₩6.2 trillion, while loans to financial and insurance companies also increased ₩6.2 trillion. Across all industries, outstanding loans reached ₩2,065.3 trillion after increasing ₩30.6 trillion during the quarter.

Manufacturing loans grew ₩8.4 trillion during the quarter to reach ₩521.5 trillion, according to the same official statistical release. Shinhan Financial Group Co., Ltd. (055550): The company's market capitalisation was ₩53.5 trillion at Monday's close.
