Korean Investor Deposits Fall to Lowest Level Since January - Yonhap

Korean investor deposits fell to ₩93.5499 trillion on September 4, Yonhap reported Monday using industry association data. The balance dropped ₩4.2115 trillion from the previous session and reached its lowest level since January 16.

Margin loan balances rose for a fourth consecutive trading day to ₩33.5958 trillion in the same release. Short-term unsettled stock purchases reached ₩1.0519 trillion, while forced share sales for unpaid balances totaled ₩26 billion.

Forced sales accounted for 2.6% of unpaid purchase balances, compared with 1.1% in the previous trading session. Mirae Asset Securities Co., Ltd. (006800): The company's market capitalisation was ₩18.8 trillion at Monday's close.
