Korean electricity demand peaked at 85.9 gigawatts during the first week of September, Newsis reported Monday. The Korea Power Exchange released the figures on September 7 as part of its weekly power supply report.
Demand ranged from 79.1 to 85.9 gigawatts, with the highest level recorded on September 2. Available supply capacity that day reached 103.1 gigawatts, leaving reserves of 17.2 gigawatts and a 20.0% reserve ratio.
