Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (005930) held 39.4% of global DRAM revenue in the second quarter, Yonhap reported Monday. TrendForce data released in the September 7 report put Samsung's quarterly DRAM revenue at $60.98 billion.
Global DRAM revenue reached $154.73 billion, increasing 59.5% from the preceding quarter in the research firm's latest survey. SK hynix Inc. recorded revenue of $38.59 billion and a 24.9% share of the same market.
Samsung's share rose from 38.5% in the first quarter, while SK hynix's share declined from 28.8%. The company's market capitalisation was ₩1,578.5 trillion at Monday's close.
