L & C BIO Co., Ltd. Registers Injectable Tendon Material Patent - report

L & C BIO Co., Ltd. (290650) registered a Korean patent for injectable material made from human tendon tissue. Korea Economic Daily reported the September 7 announcement covering processing tissue into fine particles and preparing an injectable formulation.

The technology removes cells and lipids while retaining extracellular matrix, the material that supports tissue structure. The company said the patent covers tissue processing and formulation conditions including particle size, viscosity and injection force.

It plans manufacturing standardization and safety testing before commercializing products for tendon and ligament applications. The company's market capitalisation was ₩1.3 trillion at Monday's close.
