Voronoi, Inc. (310210) plans to test a 640-milligram daily dose of its lung cancer candidate VRN11. Korea Economic Daily reported Sunday that the dose escalation study had advanced from 40 milligrams to 480 milligrams.
The company said it had found no safety issue preventing further escalation or plateau in drug exposure. VRN11 targets the epidermal growth factor receptor, a protein involved in cancer cell growth, according to the report.
Voronoi plans to select a recommended dose next year before moving into a Phase 2a efficacy study. The company's market capitalisation was ₩2.9 trillion at Monday's close.
