Korean Manufacturing Insured Employment Rises for First Time in Fifteen Months - Yonhap

Korean manufacturing employment insurance enrollment rose year on year in August for the first time in fifteen months. Yonhap reported September 7 that the labor ministry counted 3.847 million enrolled manufacturing workers, an increase of 2,000.

Electronics and communications added 4,700 insured workers, while other transport equipment added 7,600 in the same monthly release. Food manufacturing added 2,900 workers as total employment insurance enrollment across all industries reached 15.905 million.

Construction enrollment fell for a thirty-seventh consecutive month. SK hynix Inc. (000660): The company's market capitalisation was ₩1,302.5 trillion at Monday's close.
