Korea Zinc Elects Five Directors at Extraordinary Meeting - report

Korea Zinc Company, Ltd. (010130) elected five directors at an extraordinary shareholder meeting on Wednesday. Dailian reported the results after voting ended in Seoul.

Shareholders elected four independent directors through cumulative voting. Two nominees backed by management and two backed by Youngpoong and MBK Partners won seats. Baek In-kyu won the separately elected audit committee seat with 81.8% support. The meeting also approved a charter amendment concerning separately elected audit committee members.

The board now includes seven directors recommended by Youngpoong and MBK Partners. The company's market capitalisation was ₩25.6 trillion at Wednesday's close.
