Samsung Securities Wins Approval for Short-Term Financing Business - Yonhap

Samsung Securities Co., Ltd. (016360) received final approval for a short-term financing business on Wednesday. Yonhap reported the Financial Services Commission's decision after its regular meeting.

The approval makes Samsung Securities the eighth Korean comprehensive financial investment company licensed for the business. The company said it plans to release its first related product within September. The license was granted under Article 360 of the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act.

The commission approved the application at its 15th regular meeting. The company's market capitalisation was ₩7.8 trillion at Wednesday's close.
