Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (005930) signed a strategic partnership with Mistral AI on Tuesday. Dailian reported the agreement on Wednesday after a Korea-France summit.
The companies will jointly develop AI models for semiconductor design and manufacturing. Samsung will provide semiconductor technology and manufacturing data from its Device Solutions division. Mistral AI will contribute its AI model technology. Samsung has also made an equity investment in the French company.
The agreement covers work across semiconductor operations. Both companies signed it during the summit period. The company's market capitalisation was ₩1,575.6 trillion at Wednesday's close.
