Kolon Industries Completes mPPO Production Line Expansion in Gimcheon - report

Kolon Industries (120110) completed an expanded mPPO production line at its Gimcheon plant. Dailian reported Tuesday's completion ceremony on Wednesday.

Modified polyphenylene oxide is used in copper-clad laminates for semiconductor circuit boards. Kolon said the material reduces electrical signal loss and heat. The company linked the added capacity to products used in AI accelerators and 6G communications equipment. The supplied candidate text did not state the new annual production capacity.

The line is located at Kolon's second Gimcheon factory. The completion ceremony took place on September 8. The company's market capitalisation was ₩1.7 trillion at Wednesday's close.
