Park leads the company's global product development research group. The award cited his work on localizing core power-distribution equipment and developing direct-current power solutions. He received it at the Technology Developers' Day ceremony in Seoul on Monday. The Korea Industrial Technology Association organized the event.
This was the first ceremony after Technology Developers' Day became a statutory national observance. The company's market capitalisation was ₩31.7 trillion at Wednesday's close.
