Korea Electric Power Corporation (015760) does not receive individual prices for central energy-storage contracts. Aju Business Daily reported the disclosure on Tuesday.
KEPCO bears part of the settlement costs through purchased-power expenses. The central market selected 1,196 megawatts of energy-storage capacity. Contracted capacity payments run for 15 years. A National Assembly member obtained related materials from KEPCO and the Korea Power Exchange. The report said KEPCO cannot verify vendor-level prices directly.
The payment obligation extends across each contract's 15-year term. The company's market capitalisation was ₩21.7 trillion at Wednesday's close.
