Korea's Land Observation Satellite Project Clears Feasibility Review - report

South Korea's land ministry said its third and fourth land observation satellites passed a preliminary feasibility review. Dailian reported Friday that the project carries a ₩312.9 billion budget for launches in 2030 and 2031.

The government will specify missions and performance while private companies develop and deliver the satellites through procurement contracts. The satellites will replace earlier missions and improve observation width, image resolution and photography methods.

The ministry plans to start the main development project next year. Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd. (047810): The company's market capitalisation was ₩12.3 trillion at Friday's close.
