Four US Companies Register $2 Billion of Korean Investment - report

Four US companies registered $2 billion of investment in South Korea at a September 3 ceremony in Washington. Dailian reported Friday that the projects cover semiconductor equipment and materials, display materials and offshore wind.

Air Products will expand semiconductor gas facilities in Pyeongtaek, while Axcelis will expand its Korean equipment manufacturing facilities. Corning's investment covers manufacturing capacity and advanced materials equipment, according to the industry ministry's announcement.

Pacifico Energy's project covers a 3.2 GW offshore wind development. LG Display Co., Ltd. (034220): The company's market capitalisation was ₩4.6 trillion at Friday's close.
