Korean Online Shopping Companies Report Improvements to Account Closure Procedures - Newsis

Twenty-six Korean online shopping companies completed improvements under a voluntary interface code, Newsis reported on September 7. The Korea Online Shopping Association said 28 participants reviewed their interfaces during the first half of the year.

The checks focused on making account closure easier and reducing interface features that could mislead consumers using online services. Companies also clarified notices about losing coupons and points when closing accounts and added steps to confirm users understood.

The remaining two participants are still updating their systems. NAVER Corporation (035420): The company's market capitalisation was ₩33.2 trillion at Monday's close.
