Samsung C&T raises Samsung Electronics fab contract 23%

Samsung C&T (028260) said Monday it amended its finishing-work contract for Samsung Electronics' P4 semiconductor fab in Pyeongtaek, raising the contract value 23.2% to ₩1,699.71bn (~$1.23bn) from ₩1,379.17bn, according to a filing.

The job, described as FAB and utility-building finishing work at Samsung Electronics' Pyeongtaek campus, was originally signed in July 2023 at ₩10.0bn and has been repeatedly expanded since; Samsung Electronics is a related party, with both companies sitting under the same corporate group.

The filing said the contract, which now runs through December 2027, carries no advance payment and is billed as construction progresses, with the amount and schedule both still subject to change as work continues.

The revised ₩1,699.71bn contract equals 4.04% of Samsung C&T's ₩42.10tn in FY2024 revenue, up from 3.28% before this amendment, per the filing's own disclosure.

Samsung C&T shares closed Monday at ₩376,500, up slightly from Friday's ₩375,000 close.
