JB Financial Group Co., Ltd. Unit Launches Regional Savings Account - Yonhap

JB Financial Group Co., Ltd. (175330) unit Kwangju Bank launched a savings account for the merged Jeonnam and Gwangju region Friday. Yonhap reported that the fixed monthly savings product is available to individuals aged 14 or older, with one account per person.

The account runs for twelve months and accepts monthly deposits ranging from ₩50,000 to ₩1 million from customers. Its base annual interest rate is 2.70%, with an extra 0.50 percentage point offered to mark the regional merger.

Qualifying hometown donations add up to another 1.50 percentage points, bringing the maximum annual rate on the account to 4.70%. The company's market capitalisation was ₩5.8 trillion at Friday's close.
