KB Financial Group Inc. Unit Opens Pension Government Bond Service - Yonhap

KB Financial Group Inc. (105560) unit KB Securities opened direct government bond trading through retirement pension accounts Friday, Yonhap reported. The service lets individuals buy ten-year and twenty-year government bonds under a pension investment program introduced this month.

The first subscription period runs from September 9 through September 15, with those bonds due for issuance on September 19. Bonds held to maturity receive annual compound interest based on the coupon rate plus an additional interest rate.

Early redemption generally becomes available after one year and pays simple coupon interest without the additional rate applied at maturity. The company's market capitalisation was ₩61 trillion at Friday's close.
