Samsung E&A Raises Samsung Electronics P4 Contract Value 14.6%

Samsung E&A Co., Ltd. (028050) raised the value of a construction contract with affiliate Samsung Electronics to ₩1,013.1bn (~$723.7m) from ₩883.9bn, a filing dated August 31 said, an increase of ₩129.2bn.

The contract covers substation and complex-building work, air-pollution prevention and ultra-pure-water finishing for Phase 2 of Samsung Electronics' P4 fab in Hadong, part of the Pyeongtaek chip campus. The filing describes this as the first amendment to a contract originally signed 13 December 2023, with work running from 15 July 2023 to 31 December 2027.

The original ₩883.9bn contract, filed 16 March 2026, represented 8.79% of the revenue base Samsung E&A uses for disclosure; the revised amount is 10.08%, the threshold that triggered Monday's filing.

The revised contract equals 11.0% of Samsung E&A's ₩9,231.6bn market capitalization.

The filing states the contract amount may change further as the project proceeds and that Samsung E&A will re-disclose if it does.

The disclosed amount includes value-added tax, per the filing.
