Kakao gives 50,000 free recycling emoticons

The Korea Recycling Deposit Management Centre is giving away 50,000 free emoticon sets through KakaoTalk. The 16-emoticon set features a character called \"Ggaekkeuli\" that can be downloaded from KakaoTalk's sticker shop, reported Dailian.

The emoticons promote Korea's recycling deposit system to regular people who use KakaoTalk every day. The giveaway happens on a first-come, first-served basis until all 50,000 sets are taken. This campaign makes the recycling deposit system more visible to consumers through popular digital content.

KakaoTalk is South Korea's main mobile messaging platform used by over 40 million people. Kakao Corp. operates KakaoTalk and many other services including games, music streaming, and financial services across Korea and Asia.
