Mirae Asset files shelf registration for structured products

Mirae Asset Securities filed shelf registration statements for two groups of equity-linked structured products. Shelf registrations enable securities firms to pre-clear offerings with regulators, reported DART. This allows rapid deployment of new products without per-transaction regulatory delays.

Mirae Asset is preparing distribution capacity for equity-linked securities whose returns are tied to underlying stock indexes, currencies, or volatility measures. Structured products generate substantial commission and structuring fee revenue for securities companies. The shelf registration process reduces the time between when products are designed and when they are sold to investors.

Mirae Asset Securities is South Korea's largest independent securities firm. The company provides brokerage, investment banking, research, and structured products to institutional and retail clients.
