SKC adds ₩281 billion investment in Absolics - Yonhap

SKC (011790) will buy another 192,416 shares in US glass-substrate subsidiary Absolics for about ₩281 billion, Yonhap reported Friday. The report cited a company disclosure dated September 4 and named Absolics as a manufacturing and sales subsidiary.

The purchase will raise SKC's ownership of Absolics to 70%. The company set November 24, 2026, as the planned acquisition date for the additional shares.

The company's market capitalisation was ₩4.2 trillion at Friday's close. SKC identified the purpose of the share purchase as advancing its semiconductor glass-substrate business, and the disclosed purchase covers 192,416 shares.
