Two teams bid for Korean long-range air missile project - report

Teams led by HANWHA AEROSPACE CO., LTD. (012450) and Hyundai Rotem Company (064350) are competing for a Korean missile project, Dailian reported Friday. LIG Defense & Aerospace Co., Ltd. (079550) joined the Hyundai Rotem team.

The project covers a domestic long-range air-to-air guided missile for the KF-21 Boramae fighter. The Agency for Defense Development will close proposals on September 7 and select a preferred bidder in October.

Hanwha Aerospace's market capitalisation was ₩54.4 trillion at Friday's close. The agency plans to complete a development contract by the end of 2026.
