Hyundai signs Oman hydrogen bus and charging agreement - report

HYUNDAI MOTOR CO (005380) signed an agreement covering hydrogen buses and electric-vehicle charging in Oman, Dailian reported Friday. The signing took place at the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Complex in Salalah on September 3.

Hyundai joined Oman's transport ministry and local energy distributor OQ Alternative Energy for the project. The parties plan Oman's first hydrogen city-bus operation and the installation of high-speed electric-vehicle charging infrastructure.

The company's market capitalisation was ₩78.5 trillion at Friday's close. Omani transport vice minister Khamis Al Shamakhi and Hyundai executive Chung Ho-keun attended the September 3 ceremony.
