Korea Electric Power Corporation (015760) subsidiary KEPCO Knowledge Data Network won selection for a $5 million rural energy project in Senegal. Newsis reported Friday that the unit will work with Dongshin University under a Korea International Cooperation Agency program.
The project runs from November through October 2030 and extends an earlier renewable-energy village project carried out last year. The partners will install shared energy centers equipped with solar power and battery storage in rural communities.
The company will install an energy management system while Dongshin University will handle training for the project. The company's market capitalisation was ₩20.6 trillion at Friday's close.
