Industrial Bank of Korea Records 42 Financial Incidents - report

Industrial Bank of Korea (024110) recorded 42 financial incidents from 2017 through July 2026, Dailian reported Thursday. The report cited Financial Supervisory Service data supplied to lawmaker Park Sung-hoon and listed losses of ₩137.491 billion.

The cases included 26 incidents of embezzlement or misuse and eight involving breach of duty by employees. Fraud accounted for seven further cases while theft or seizure accounted for one incident in the data.

The bank recorded four incidents through July this year, including three cases involving employees' misuse of funds. The company's market capitalisation was ₩16.5 trillion at Friday's close.
