Chabiotech Co., Ltd. Joins Government Cell Therapy Quality Research Project - Newsis

Chabiotech Co., Ltd. (085660) was selected for a government backed cell and gene therapy quality research project. Newsis reported Thursday that the project has a ₩13.7 billion research budget, including ₩12.7 billion in government support.

The research runs from April 2026 through December 2030 and is led by CHA Bundang Medical Center. The company will develop analytical methods and potency tests for cell therapies and validate them using its drug pipeline.

Its US subsidiary Matica Biotechnology will help test whether the Korean methods can work in American manufacturing facilities. The company's market capitalisation was ₩0.8 trillion at Friday's close.
