Onconic Therapeutics, Inc. (476060) received Korean approval for a phase 3 trial of zastaprazan, Newsis reported Thursday. The trial will assess treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection in 414 patients across 24 institutions in South Korea.
The study compares zastaprazan plus amoxicillin and clarithromycin with a three drug regimen that instead uses lansoprazole. Patients will take treatment twice daily for two weeks, followed by an assessment at least four weeks later.
The company's Chinese partner already began dosing patients in May for a separate trial using four drugs. The company's market capitalisation was ₩0.7 trillion at Friday's close.
