SK oceanplant Co., Ltd. Sale Draws County Demand for Binding Pledges - Yonhap

Goseong County demanded binding investment and employment commitments following the announced SK oceanplant Co., Ltd. (100090) sale, Yonhap reported Friday. The county said the sale had proceeded without enough consultation with the local community despite its administrative support.

It asked buyer D Ocean Asset Management to identify the actual buyer, chief executive and future management team. The county also sought binding commitments to the existing ₩1 trillion investment and 3,600-job plan, plus measures helping workers settle locally.

Parent SK ecoplant signed an agreement to sell its entire 35.62% stake in the company for ₩410 billion. The company's market capitalisation was ₩0.9 trillion at Friday's close.
