KOSPI Edges Higher Thursday as KOSDAQ Falls Below 800 - Dailian

Korea's benchmark KOSPI closed Thursday at 6579.48, up 16.76 points or 0.26%, Dailian reported after trading ended. The index opened at 6650.33, while the smaller KOSDAQ market finished at 790.21 after falling 1.71% during the session.

Individual investors sold a net ₩955.2 billion of KOSPI shares, and foreign investors sold a net ₩423.2 billion. Institutions sold a net ₩215.3 billion of shares in the main market, according to Korea Exchange figures in the report.

SK hynix Inc. (000660) fell 1.05% during Thursday's regular session as the largest stocks in the main market finished mixed. The company's market capitalisation was ₩1,203.1 trillion at Friday's close.
