KOSPI Gains 1.64% Friday While KOSDAQ Rebounds Almost 3% - report

Korea's benchmark KOSPI gained 107.73 points to close Friday at 6687.21, Korea Economic Daily reported after trading ended. The main market rose 1.64%, while the smaller KOSDAQ index gained 23.29 points or 2.95% to finish at 813.50.

Foreign investors and institutions bought a net ₩378.5 billion and ₩164.9 billion of KOSDAQ shares during the session. Individual investors sold a net ₩529.4 billion in that market, which opened 1.53% higher and rose as much as 3.33%.

SK hynix Inc. (000660) rose 3.2% in the main market on Friday as several large technology stocks also gained. The company's market capitalisation was ₩1,203.1 trillion at Friday's close.
